At a little past twelve midnight, her mum and dad bade her goodbye, they were going off to the airport to fly to Macau. Mum planted a kiss on her cheek and they were off... She locked the doors, paced slowly towards her room. It would be a complete four days before she saw them again. A complete four days of the same old life, same old classes and the same old exams. Sensing a surge of emotion, she shook it off, it is no big deal. Life is much harder for other people out there. People were dying of starvation, of poverty. She has nothing to complain about; in fact, she has everything to be grateful for. With that, she shoved every ounce of negativity aside, and a smile formed on her face.
